Racing Underway

So the season is underway.  Our first event, the inaugural Bridge Fiasco, was a bit of fun and we had some really good speed and crew work, but unfortunately the skipper selected the wrong order of bridges to pass!  DOH!  Regardless, it was a great day and I think the first “real” race of the entire bay.  I learned a few days ago that Kenny Read sailed it with Mike Zani on Vella so we certainly had some good company.  : )

On the schedule front, things are stabilizing.  I’ll be doing more tweaking on the crew list per race and will keep folks posted.  I’m trying to equitably apportion the first few races so please continue to bear with me.  Our next race is Around Aquidneck, June 20th.  There will be a delivery on the 19th and a likely return on the 21st, with Spirit left overnight at TYC.  Sort of our usual.  I considered doing it all in one day, but it’s a lot and I opted against that.  Also, the JYC summer series “should” be starting on the 23rd . . . nothing yet in terms of registration tho.  Lastly, I’m on a call right now for the Leukemia Cup.  It will be August 22nd, which was thankfully open on our calendar.  More on that as we get closer.
